The Bokisch Albariño from Lodi, California is a crisp, vibrant white wine produced by Bokisch Vineyards, a winery renowned for its dedication to authentic Spanish grape varieties. Founded by Markus and Liz Bokisch in 1999, the vineyard is situated in the Clements Hills appellation of Lodi, where sustainable and organic farming practices are used to craft Spanish varietals that reflect the region's rich terroir.
This Albariño is harvested earlier than typical to closely mimic the style of wines from its native region of Galicia, Spain. The thick-skinned, small-berried grape yields aromatics reminiscent of Riesling, with delicate notes of tangerine, orange blossoms, and membrillo on the nose. On the palate, the wine is juicy and fruit-forward, delivering flavors of pear, McIntosh apple, pink grapefruit juice, and a subtle hint of lychee. With an alcohol content of approximately 12.5%, it strikes a refreshing, food-friendly balance.
The Bokisch Albariño pairs beautifully with seafood, light pasta dishes, sushi, and fresh salads. It reflects over 25 years of Spanish winemaking expertise rooted in Lodi's unique microclimate. Available at Costco in a 750ml bottle, sold in cases of 12.
