The Montblanc 1858 Geosphere GMT (Ref. MB117840) is a limited-edition men's automatic watch released to celebrate the 160th anniversary of the Minerva manufacture in Villeret, Switzerland. Limited to just 1,858 examples worldwide, it honors Montblanc's storied horological heritage with a design inspired by the golden age of alpine exploration.

Built around a 42mm bronze case paired with a unidirectional rotating ceramic bezel, the watch delivers a bold yet vintage-inspired aesthetic that develops a natural patina over time. The black dial features luminous Arabic numerals and houses a signature complication: dual 24-hour rotating globes representing the Northern and Southern hemispheres positioned at 12 and 6 o'clock, with the world's highest peaks pinpointed in red. A small seconds subdial and date indicator complement the display, while the solid caseback is engraved with mountain ranges corresponding to the hemispheres.

Powering the watch is the Swiss automatic Caliber MB 29.25, featuring 26 jewels and a 42-hour power reserve. A double-domed sapphire crystal protects the dial and the case offers water resistance to 100 meters (10 ATM). The watch is worn on a brown burnished leather strap with a buckle closure, adjustable to fit wrists up to 7.5 inches. Case thickness is approximately 13mm. Swiss Made.
