The Apple Mac Studio (Early 2022) is a compact and extraordinarily powerful desktop computer built around the Apple M1 Max chip. Designed for creative professionals, it packs pro-level performance into a 7.7-inch square enclosure that fits neatly under most displays, making it ideal for studio and desk setups where space matters.

The M1 Max chip features a 10-core CPU with 8 performance cores and 2 efficiency cores, a 24-core GPU, a 16-core Neural Engine, and 400GB/s memory bandwidth. The 32GB of unified memory and 512GB SSD deliver fast, responsive performance across demanding workloads including photo editing, video production, music recording, and software development. The system can play back up to 9 streams of 8K ProRes video simultaneously and supports hardware-accelerated H.264, HEVC, ProRes, and ProRes RAW through its built-in media engine.

Connectivity is extensive: the front panel provides two USB-C ports (up to 10Gb/s) and a UHS-II SDXC card slot for quick access to cameras and storage. The rear panel includes four Thunderbolt 4 ports (up to 40Gb/s), two USB-A ports, an HDMI port, a 10 Gigabit Ethernet port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack with advanced support for high-impedance headphones. Up to five displays can be connected simultaneously, including up to four Pro Display XDRs and one 4K display. Wireless connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and Bluetooth 5.0.

The enclosure is constructed from 80% recycled aluminum and is ENERGY STAR certified. Maximum continuous power draw is 370W. The system ships with a power cord and runs macOS. A keyboard and mouse are not included.
