Château Carbonnieux Blanc 2019 is a Grand Cru Classé de Graves white wine from the prestigious Pessac-Léognan appellation in Bordeaux, France. Produced by Famille Perrin Propriétaires, this estate is one of the most celebrated producers of white Bordeaux, with a history spanning centuries. This Costco set includes three 750ml bottles.
The wine is composed primarily of Sauvignon Blanc, complemented by Sémillon, and is vinified with barrel aging to add depth and complexity. The 2019 vintage delivers ripe citrus and white-fruit flavors with tight, fresh acidity and a textured palate. Tasting notes describe notes of sea salt, white asparagus, gooseberry, and a flash of oyster shell on the finish. Wine Enthusiast praised the wine's balance of wood-aged richness and lively acidity, recommending drinking from 2024 onward.
Pessac-Léognan is one of only two appellations in Bordeaux to classify both its red and white wines as Crus Classés. Château Carbonnieux holds this prestigious status for its white wines and consistently ranks among the finest white Bordeaux produced each vintage. The wine pairs well with oysters, seafood, grilled fish, goat cheese, and lightly dressed salads.
