Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande is a prestigious Second Growth (Deuxième Grand Cru Classé) estate located in the Pauillac appellation of Bordeaux, France. The 2019 vintage is widely regarded as one of the finest expressions from this storied property, earning scores of 95–99 points from leading critics including The Wine Advocate and CellarTracker community reviewers.
This 2019 release is a blend of 71% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot, and 6% Cabernet Franc, aged in approximately 60% new French oak barrels. It presents a medium to deep garnet-purple color with an aromatic profile of Black Forest cake, warm cassis, wild blueberries, Morello cherries, redcurrant jelly, pencil shavings, menthol, and aniseed. On the palate it is full to medium-bodied with velvety, finely grained tannins, seamless freshness, and a long mineral and exotic spice finish. Alcohol is 14.1% with a pH of 3.7.
The wine is built for long-term cellaring and is projected to be at its peak from 2026 onward, with considerable aging potential well beyond that window.
