Ramírez de la Piscina Crianza is a Spanish red wine from the Rioja DOCa appellation, made from 100% hand-picked Tempranillo grapes. The vineyards are at least 25 years old, located in Ábalos and San Vicente de la Sonsierra in Rioja Alta, with clay and limestone soil at 500 metres above sea level. All grapes are manually pruned and harvested from small, non-irrigated parcels.

After careful sorting, destemming, and temperature-controlled fermentation with automatic pumping-over and punching-down, the wine is aged for 15 months in 225-litre American and French oak barrels in underground cellars. It then undergoes 5 months of natural fining and settling before filtering and bottling, with final ageing completed in the bottle.

The wine presents a deep ruby red color with a pale violet rim. On the nose, characteristic Sonsierra red fruits combine with touches of spicy wood. On the palate it is tasty, spicy, and structured, with hints of vanilla and coffee, a good balance between wine and oak, and a long finish with a pronounced back taste. Ideal serving temperature is 18°C (64°F).
