Enrico Serafino Gavi is a dry Italian white wine from the esteemed Gavi DOCG appellation in Piedmont, crafted from 100% Cortese grapes. The winery, founded in 1878 by Enrico Serafino in Canale d'Alba, is one of the oldest continuously operating estates in Piedmont and is now owned by the Krause family, with winemaking led by Paolo Giacosa. The vineyards benefit from sustainable and VIVA-certified farming practices across marly, chalky, and clay-rich soils that define the character of the Gavi region.
In the glass, this wine shows a straw-yellow color with greenish hues and aromas of white and yellow fruits — apple, pear, white plum, and gooseberry — layered with wildflowers, lime zest, and a hint of almond. On the palate it is dry and light to medium bodied, with bright citrus-driven acidity and a clean mineral finish reflecting the mineral-rich soils of the region. Its lively acidity and flintiness make it an excellent pairing with fresh seafood such as oysters, grilled prawns, and light pasta dishes.
