Alma de Cattleya Chardonnay is a California white wine from Sonoma County, crafted by winemaker Bibiana Gonzalez Rave. The name "Alma" means "soul" in Spanish, and "Cattleya" references the national flower of her native Colombia, reflecting her deep personal connection to the wine.
This Chardonnay showcases heady aromas of spiced pear, toasted vanilla bean, and red apple skin, with a richly hued profile shimmering with pale lemon and youthful greenish undertones. On the palate, it delivers notes of lemon curd, lime zest, cream, and minerals with a vivid, tangy texture, playing down heavy butter and toast in favor of a lean, racy, elegant style. The 2023 vintage earned 91 points from Jeb Dunnuck, and earlier vintages have received Gold medals from the Press Democrat North Coast Wine Challenge.
Each case contains 12 bottles of 750ml. Best served chilled as an aperitif or paired with seafood, poultry, and light pasta dishes.
