Cancello del Barone Appassimento Rosso Passito is an Italian red wine from the Piemonte DOC appellation in Piedmont, made using the traditional appassimento method. In this technique, harvested grapes are air-dried to concentrate their sugars and flavors before fermentation, resulting in a wine reminiscent of Amarone-style production.

The wine pours a deep ruby red with an intense and complex bouquet of ripe red fruit and gentle spices. On the palate it is full-bodied, soft, and velvety with a harmonious finish. It opens well and continues to develop in the glass over time.

This 750 ml bottle pairs well with beef, lamb, and aged hard cheeses.
