Capo Zafferano Rosso Appassimento is a rich, full-bodied red wine from Puglia in southern Italy, crafted using the traditional Appassimento method. This technique involves leaving the grape skins in contact with the must for an extended period to extract maximum flavor and complexity before aging the wine in oak for approximately three months.

The wine is a blend of Negroamaro, Merlot, and Primitivo grapes, delivering an intense deep red color. On the nose, it presents characteristic notes of ripe and dried fruits including plums and raisins, a hallmark of the late-maturation Appassimento process. On the palate, pleasant notes of dark chocolate and warming spices make for a harmonious, balanced, and pleasantly mature experience. Alcohol content is 14.5%. Rated 4.1 on Vivino.
