Tooth & Nail Amor Fati Chardonnay is a site-driven, ultra-coastal California Chardonnay sourced from Murmur Vineyard in the Santa Maria Valley, just 13 miles from the Pacific Ocean. "Amor Fati" is Latin for "love of one's fate," and this wine reflects Tooth & Nail's commitment to expressing the unique character of cool-climate California terroir.

The wine is crafted from hand-harvested fruit using whole-cluster pressing and barrel fermentation in 228-liter French oak barriques with a portion of new oak. Full malolactic fermentation and regular lees stirring throughout maturation add richness and texture. The vineyard's marine sand soils with varying clay and loam deliver a balance of ripe fruit and vibrant acidity. Aromas of pear, citrus, pineapple, butterscotch, and toasted brioche give way to flavors of peach, tangerine, lime rind, and Asian pear with crunchy, racy acidity and light spice. Tooth & Nail practices organic vineyard farming and dedicates 1% of profits to environmental initiatives.
