Shibui 10 Year Bourbon Cask is a single grain Japanese whisky distilled at the Shinzato Distillery in Okinawa, Japan — the oldest distillery on the island, established in 1846. Made from premium Indica long grain rice, it is fermented using traditional Okinawan black koji and yeast, then distilled in a single stainless steel pot still and matured for 10 years in ex-bourbon American oak barrels.

The whisky is bottled at 40% ABV, non-chill filtered, and retains its natural color. On the nose, it opens with fresh pastry aromas. The palate delivers a harmonious balance of crème brûlée sweetness, cracked black pepper spice, and spiced oak. The finish is smooth and lingering with caramelized sugar notes.

This expression earned a 94-point score at the Ultimate Spirits Challenge 2021 and was named a finalist for the Chairman's Trophy, recognizing it among the finest Japanese whiskies available at this price point.
