Great Lakes Potato Chip Company's Purple Kettle Chips are made from the "Blackberry" purple potato variety โ a non-GMO chipping potato developed through a collaboration with the MSU Potato Research and Development Department and the Michigan-based IOTT Seed Farm, by crossing a Michigan Purple Table Stock Potato with a Minnesota-grown purple potato. The result is a vibrant, naturally dark-purple chip that is visually striking and rich in antioxidants.
Crafted in small batches and kettle cooked in a premium blend of sunflower and canola oils, these chips feature the skin still on, which adds extra flavor, crunch, and nutrients. Finished with organic sea salt and free from artificial flavors, additives, and preservatives, they are gluten free, cholesterol free, and contain no trans fat. Great Lakes partners with and sources from local Michigan farms, and every bag is proudly made in Traverse City, Michigan.
