Château de Marsan Côtes de Bordeaux is a premium French red wine from the historic estate in the Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux appellation. This 3-liter format (equivalent to four standard 750ml bottles) offers exceptional value for entertaining or cellaring.
The wine is a blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced from the estate's 38 hectares of southwest-facing clayey-gravelly hillsides overlooking the Garonne River. The grapes are aged 12 months in French oak barrels, resulting in a wine with remarkable aromatic complexity.
The estate carries the name of Pierre de Marsan, Viscount of Marsan and founder of the town of Mont-de-Marsan. This beautiful charterhouse was built in 1630 and has been producing wine since the 17th century. The Gonfrier family purchased the property in 1962, extending its vineyards over the coming years. The wine is produced using sustainable agriculture methods and is High Environmental Value Level 3 Certified.
Tasting notes reveal dark fruit aromas with hints of coffee, earthiness, and Asian spice. On the palate, the wine is smooth and juicy with good density and fine, grippy tannins. 14% alcohol by volume.
