The Wood Finishing Series begins with traditional Maker's Mark bourbon before undergoing a secondary finishing process in which custom-crafted wood staves are inserted directly into the maturation barrels. Different stave types, wood origins, and finishing durations create each unique release, producing layered flavor profiles built on the classic Maker's Mark foundation of warm caramel, vanilla, and toasted oak. Releases in the series have featured notes ranging from stone fruit, maple, and dark chocolate to creamy spice and a long silky finish.
