Lithic Hill Zinfandel is a red wine from Sonoma Valley, California, produced by Lithic Hill — a project of Hamel Family Vineyards that explores the distinctive mountain terroir of the western Mayacamas Mountains. The wine is available in a standard 750ml bottle and sold at Costco in case quantities of 6 or 12.
The 2019 vintage is a blend of approximately 84% Zinfandel, 11% Petite Sirah, and 5% Mourvèdre. It is fermented in concrete using native yeasts and raised in predominantly neutral French oak, resulting in a wine that reflects its site with minimal winemaking intervention. Tasting notes describe a bright nose of cherry, plum, and spice, with moderate tannins, firm acidity, and a light-to-medium body. It is considered food-friendly and approachable.
Contains sulfites.
