King Palm Tree 3.6G

The King Palm Tree (Archontophoenix cunninghamiana or alexandrae) is a stately, fast-growing tropical palm prized for its elegant appearance. Sold in a #5 nursery container (approximately 3.6 gallons), this palm is ideal for planting in warm, frost-free climates or as a large specimen in a container.

King Palms feature a distinctive bright green crownshaft topped with gracefully arching, feathery fronds that can reach 6 to 10 feet in length. The self-cleaning trunk sheds old fronds naturally, making it a low-maintenance choice for landscapes. Mature trees can reach 30 to 50 feet in height with a spread of 10 to 15 feet, making them excellent focal points in tropical and subtropical gardens.

This palm thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-drained, fertile soil with regular watering during establishment. It is well-suited for USDA hardiness zones 9b through 11. The King Palm grows relatively quickly under optimal conditions and is popular for poolside plantings, lining driveways, and creating a lush, tropical aesthetic.
