Tassajara Pinot Noir is an estate-grown wine from the sustainably certified Scheid Family vineyards in Monterey, California. The name Tassajara comes from the famed Tassajara Hot Springs, where Indigenous peoples traditionally went for spiritual renewal.
This medium-bodied red wine features aromas of cherries, blackberries, and plums with notes of vanilla, mocha, and oak. It delivers bright red fruit flavors with soft yet structured tannins and a lingering sweet oak finish. The blend is composed of 87% Pinot Noir, 5% Petite Sirah, 4% Tannat, 2% Chardonnay, and 2% Tempranillo, aged 12 months in 25% new French Oak.
Tassajara Pinot Noir has received 91 Points from Wine Enthusiast as an Editor's Choice. The Scheid Family vineyards operate using 100% renewable energy from wind-powered turbines.
