Albert Bichot Chablis is a classic white Burgundy from the renowned Chablis appellation in France, crafted entirely from Chardonnay grapes. This 750ml bottle showcases the hallmark character of the region: a pale yellow color with greenish reflections, aromas of citrus, white flowers, and the signature flinty minerality that Chablis is celebrated for.
On the palate, the wine is fresh and lively, with elegant notes of almonds, lemon, and minerals, balanced by a clean, lean structure and bright acidity. Grapes are sourced from parcels spanning 40 hectares of Kimmeridgian clay-limestone soils, which impart exceptional complexity and a distinctive mineral backbone. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel vats, and the wine is aged on fine lees for approximately 10 months to develop added texture and depth.
Albert Bichot is a storied Burgundy négociant house based in Beaune, with family roots in the region dating back to 1350 and the winery established in 1912. This Chablis is an excellent aperitif wine and pairs beautifully with oysters, shellfish, white fish, sushi, and light cream sauces.
