Domaine Chanson Savigny-Lès-Beaune 1er Cru La Dominode is a prestigious red Burgundy from one of the Côte de Beaune's finest Premier Cru vineyards. Produced by Domaine Chanson, one of Burgundy's oldest estates founded in 1750, this 100% Pinot Noir comes from the Dominode vineyard—widely regarded as the best Premier Cru in Savigny, situated mid-slope with exceptional marl, chalk, and limestone soils.
The wine is crafted with a philosophy of "infusion rather than construction," vinified 100% whole cluster to extract deeper color and enhance structural complexity and aromatic richness. Grapes are chilled immediately upon arrival to preserve fresh fruit character, followed by a long cold soak and extended maceration. Malolactic fermentation occurs in barrel on fine lees, and the wine is aged conservatively for 16 months in oak casks.
On the nose, expect intense aromas of blueberries, elderberries, wild berries, dark chocolate, and floral peonies with notes of spice and grilled meat. The palate is medium to full-bodied with a deep core of fruit, powdery structuring tannins, and a long, sapid finish. Alcohol content is 13.4%. The wine shows excellent aging potential.
