Yamato Lady Tomoe Edition is a specially crafted Japanese whisky produced at the Yamanashi Prefecture Distillery, aged 8 years in Mizunara oak barrels with additional aging in a single vat. This blend is composed of 60% grain whisky and 40% malt whisky, bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof).

The whisky features a warm gold color with notes of honey, fruit, vanilla, and oak on the nose. The palate delivers exotic flavors of red apple, flan, coconut, marzipan, vanilla, and rum cake, finishing with a medium length. This expression is an homage to Tomoe Gozen, the most feared female samurai in Japanese history who led as many as 1,000 soldiers on the battlefield in the 13th century. Her weapons of choice were a long curved blade called a naginata and a short dagger called a kaiken. Tomoe translates to "comma," referring to a comma-like swirl shape on Japanese family crests that she wore on her samurai shoulder pads, while Gozen is an ancient title given to women of honor.

The bottle features a decorative cap resembling a samurai helmet and armor, presented in an elegant gift box with traditional Japanese artwork depicting the legendary warrior.
