Le Mistral Joseph's Blend is a Rhône-style red wine produced by Folktale Winery from their Le Mistral Vineyard in the Arroyo Seco AVA of Monterey County, California. The 2021 vintage features a blend of 61% Grenache and 39% Syrah, with Grenache grapes sourced from both Le Mistral Vineyard and nearby Mission Ranch Vineyard, both situated on ancient alluvial granitic sand deposits eroded from the Santa Lucia Mountains.

The grapes are hand-harvested before sunrise and gently sorted before native fermentation in bins with daily hand punch downs. After fermentation, the wine is aged in French oak for ten months. Tasting notes include raspberry, blackberry jam, clove, hay, leather, lavender, and cherry cola, with elegant structure and juicy tannins from soft oak influence. The wine has 14.2% alcohol by volume, a pH of 3.59, and total acidity of 5.6 g/l.

The name "Le Mistral" references the famous winds of France's Rhône Valley, where blustery afternoons cool vineyards and produce distinctive flavors in Syrah and Grenache. The Le Mistral Vineyard is farmed sustainably, combining best practices from organic and biodynamic systems. This wine pairs well with chicken, pasta, steak, or lamb.
