Château Pavie 2020 Saint-Émilion Premier Grand Cru Classé A, sold as a 6-pack of 750ML bottles. This legendary Right Bank Bordeaux estate, owned by Gérard Perse since 1998, produces one of the most celebrated wines in the world. The 2020 vintage is a blend of 50% Merlot, 34% Cabernet Franc, and 16% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged in 75% new French oak barrels.
The 2020 Pavie received a perfect 100-point score from Jeb Dunnuck, who described it as "pure perfection in red wine" with a sensational bouquet of crème de cassis, smoked tobacco, chocolaty oak, graphite, white truffle, and hints of flowers. It also earned 97-99 points from both The Wine Advocate and Vinous, and 97 points from Decanter. The wine is full-bodied and concentrated with firm yet wonderfully ripe, velvety tannins and seamless freshness. The vineyard's limestone terroir with heavy sun exposure contributes distinctive minerality and energy.
Best enjoyed after 4-5 years of cellaring, with a drinking window extending through 2062. The vines average 49 years of age with a yield of 31 hectoliters per hectare, reflecting the estate's commitment to low-yield, high-quality winemaking. Alcohol content is 14.82%.
