The Richardson Cabernet Sauvignon is a premium red wine from Blue Pyrenees Estate, situated in the Pyrenees wine region of Victoria, Australia. The Richardson Series is produced only in exceptional vintages, crafted from the most characterful batches of grapes identified by the Blue Pyrenees winemakers, then vinified and matured separately before being deemed worthy of the Richardson name.

On the nose, the wine is distinctly Cabernet Sauvignon with aromas of blackberry fruit, cassis, oyster shell, and sweet oak. Complementary notes of blackcurrant and aniseed blend with cedar wood, spearmint, and cream. The palate opens with a medium weight that expands as the wine breathes, revealing blackcurrant, blackberry, and green olive derived from full extraction of colour, flavours, and tannins. Integration in French oak—both new and two-year-old barrels—adds structure and a long, savoury aftertaste with refined tannins.

Full-bodied and dry in style, with 14% alcohol by volume, this wine has earned critical recognition including 96 points from the Halliday Wine Companion. It is capable of cellaring for up to 23 years from release, making it an excellent choice for both immediate enjoyment and long-term cellaring.
