Cattleya "Meeting with the Mentor" is a limited-production Cabernet Sauvignon from the Coombsville AVA in Napa Valley, crafted by acclaimed winemaker Bibiana González-Peralta. Sourced from the Nathan Coombs Vineyard at the foot of the Vaca Mountains, this wine pays homage to the mentors who shaped Bibiana's winemaking career, including her time producing 100-point wines at Pahlmeyer.

The 2018 vintage was aged 22 months in 100% new French oak with only 150 cases produced. It features a deep ruby-purple color with lush blackcurrant and blue fruit aromas accented by cedar, tobacco, sweet spices, and dried herbs. Jeb Dunnuck awarded it 98 points, noting a Haut-Brion-like bouquet with cassis, unsmoked tobacco, lead pencil, gravelly earth, and chocolate, along with ultra-fine tannins and Pessac-like elegance. The wine carries 14.5% alcohol and contains sulfites. It pairs beautifully with beef, lamb, game, poultry, and mature hard cheeses.
