Westland American Single Malt Whiskey is a flagship expression from Westland Distillery, co-founded by Master Distiller Matt Hofmann in 2010 in Seattle, Washington. This 700ml bottle represents over a decade of pioneering the American Single Malt category, putting the Pacific Northwest on the global whiskey map.

The whiskey is crafted from five exceptional roasted and kilned barley malts — a base of pale malt grown in Washington State, complemented by Munich Malt, Extra Special Malt, Pale Chocolate Malt, and Brown Malt. Drawing inspiration from the Pacific Northwest's rich brewing culture, the mash is fermented with a Belgian brewer's yeast for 144 hours, then distilled through copper-pot stills in Westland's 13,000 square foot SoDo neighborhood distillery. It is aged in new American Oak casks for a minimum of 24 months, with half the casks carrying a #3 char and the other half a #4 char.

Bottled at 46% ABV (92 proof), this whiskey opens with aromas of custard filling, marionberry compote, maple brittle, and toasted marshmallow. On the palate, expect almond nougat, crème brûlée, black tea, white flower petals, and malted milk balls, with a finish of nutty chocolate, coffee, shortbread, and pine. Sold in a case of 6 x 700ml bottles.
