The Wild Eyed label has been produced from Red Mountain Syrah every vintage since 2006, making it a cornerstone of Mark Ryan's lineup.

The wine draws fruit from Quintessence and Angela's vineyards on Red Mountain, blending four premium Syrah clones to achieve exceptional complexity. Clone 383 contributes dark, brooding aromatics and flavors, while Clone 174 brings expansive primary fruits and sweet spice. Clone 877 bridges the two with layers of sweet fruit and a dark, savory core, and the Phelps clone ties the blend together with its purity and intense profile. The wine is aged in thick-staved 500-liter French oak barrels, a deliberate choice to preserve purity of fruit and improve texture and balance.
