Château Branaire-Ducru is a prestigious Fourth Growth (Quatrième Grand Cru Classé) red wine from the Saint-Julien appellation of Bordeaux, France, as classified in the historic 1855 Bordeaux Classification. The estate, located in the commune of Saint-Julien-Beychevelle on the Left Bank of the Gironde estuary, produces wines renowned for their elegance, finesse, and exceptional aging potential.
The wine is a classic Médoc blend dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. It is celebrated for its deep ruby color, complex aromatics of dark fruit (blackcurrant, plum, black cherry), cedar, tobacco, and earthy minerality, with a refined tannic structure and long, persistent finish. Winemaker Jean-Dominique Videau has guided the estate toward a style that balances power and elegance, earning consistent high scores from major wine critics.
This 750mL bottle is sold individually and is appropriate for cellaring or immediate enjoyment with red meats, game, and aged cheeses. Château Branaire-Ducru regularly appears on Costco shelves as a value offering among classified Bordeaux estates.
