Château Sociando-Mallet is a prestigious estate located in the Haut-Médoc appellation of Bordeaux, France. Transformed into one of the region's most respected properties by proprietor Jean Gautreau, the château's 30-hectare vineyard sits on clay and gravel slopes that produce wines consistently rivaling many officially classified growths in quality and longevity.

This red Bordeaux blend is crafted primarily from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with a touch of Cabernet Franc, producing a full-bodied wine with a deep, dark color and a complex bouquet. The wine opens with aromas of redcurrant and dark fruit accompanied by notes of sweet tobacco, hazelnut, mint, and moist earth. On the palate, ultra-fine tannins and exceptional structure provide outstanding aging potential, with the wine developing beautifully over many years in the bottle.

Despite never seeking official Grand Cru classification, Château Sociando-Mallet has earned a devoted international following and consistently receives high critical acclaim, with recent vintages scoring 93–95 points from leading publications including James Suckling, Decanter, and Wine Advocate.
