Château Fleur Cardinale is a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé from the Right Bank of Bordeaux, France. The estate spans 23.5 hectares and is planted primarily to Merlot (75%), with Cabernet Franc (17%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (8%) at a vine density of 6,500 vines per hectare. The château was acquired by Dominique and Florence Decoster in 2001 and was elevated to Grand Cru Classé status in 2006.
The wine is aged in 90% new French oak barrels for 12 to 15 months, resulting in a rich, structured red wine with complexity and depth typical of the Saint-Émilion appellation. The estate's name honors two beloved racehorses, "Fleur" and "Cardinale," purchased by the Obessier family in 1975. Château Fleur Cardinale typically reaches peak maturity between 8 and 22 years after the vintage and pairs well with roasted meats, lamb, duck, and aged cheeses.
