Suigei Brewery's "Drunken Whale" is a Tokubetsu Junmai sake from Kochi Prefecture, Japan, brewed by Suigei Shuzo on the Pacific Coast. The name "Suigei" (酔鯨) translates to "drunken whale," and this sake is said to be brewed in tribute to the whales that inhabit the waters off Kochi.

On the nose, the sake offers aromas of rose, wood, and grape. On the palate it is very dry with a clean, precise texture and good viscosity. Distinct notes of fennel and hops emerge alongside hints of unripe strawberry, finishing with strength and length. The brewery describes it as sake "for the serious sake drinker." It pairs well with grilled fish, sashimi, and bold savory dishes. Available in 720ML bottles, sold in cases of 12.
