Pikmin 4 is a charming action-adventure strategy game for the Nintendo Switch, developed and published by Nintendo. Players guide an expedition on a mysterious planet, commanding an army of small, plantlike creatures called Pikmin to explore, solve puzzles, and battle enemies much larger than themselves.

Pikmin come in several specialized types to help you progress. Red Pikmin are resistant to fire, while the brand-new Ice Pikmin introduced in this entry can freeze enemies and alter the environment. Glow Pikmin illuminate the darkness during nighttime expeditions, when berserk wildlife roams freely. You can customize your explorer's appearance as you embark on a mission to rescue fellow stranded adventurers scattered across the planet.

Joining your squad is Oatchi (pronounced "oat-chee"), a dependable space dog who can smash obstacles, carry Pikmin, and serve as a mount for your explorer. Pikmin 4 also introduces Dandori Battles—competitive head-to-head challenges where two players race to collect the most objects within a time limit, playable in the main story or against a friend on the same system. The Rewind Time feature lets you undo costly mistakes, making the game accessible for newcomers while still rewarding strategic play. Rated E10+ by the ESRB for Everyone 10 and older.
