Nals Margreid Hill Pinot Grigio is a 100% Pinot Grigio from the Alto Adige DOC region of Northern Italy. This wine comes from a cooperative of about 100 small growers formed in 1985, with vineyards stretching across a 50-meter-tall hill south of Magrè at 220-250 meters altitude. The terroir features grey clay sand with high clay content, and the Mediterranean climate benefits from warm afternoons influenced by the Ora wind from Lake Garda.

The wine displays a pale straw yellow color with beautiful depth. On the nose, it offers clean notes of dried apricot, pink grapefruit, and thyme with a distinct mineral-rich undertone. The palate is close-knit and well-orchestrated with defined acidity and a mineral finish.

Grapes are hand-harvested and the clarified must ferments for approximately three weeks in stainless steel tanks, followed by five months of aging on lees before bottling. Best served at 10-12°C and pairs beautifully with seafood dishes like whipped salt cod and sardines in saor.
