Sheep Station Sauvignon Blanc is a classically-styled New Zealand white wine from the acclaimed Marlborough region. This 2023 vintage showcases vibrant passion fruit and citrus characters along with grapefruit and green herbs. The wine offers a wonderfully refreshing experience with zingy tropical flavors and tart green apple aromas at its core, complemented by notes of key lime and white pepper.
The palate is dry and saline with lively high acidity and just a trace of residual sugar. The creamy texture leads to a juicy finish with flavors of lime juice, jalapeño, and gentle salinity. The multi-layered palate is rich and complex with a dense fruit core and balanced acidity. At 12% alcohol by volume, this is an approachable, consistent white wine that pairs well with seafood, salads, and light appetizers.
Made by one of New Zealand's most acclaimed wine producers, Sheep Station takes its name from the large sheep farming properties found throughout New Zealand's South Island. The wine represents exceptional value under $15 for a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Technical specifications: 12% alcohol by volume, 7.8g/l total acidity, 3.4g/l residual sugar.
