Midleton Very Rare is the most exclusive and celebrated whiskey produced in Ireland, representing the pinnacle of Irish whiskey craftsmanship since 1984. This 2023 Vintage Release is crafted by Master Distiller Kevin O'Gorman, who hand-selected rare single pot still and single grain Irish whiskeys from Midleton Distillery's exclusive inventory, aged 12-21 years and matured in lightly charred ex-bourbon American oak barrels.

The whiskey opens with an intricate medley of fruits including nectarines, ripe melon, green apple, and apricot, complemented by pot still spices of freshly peeled ginger and crushed peppercorns. Notes of dried flowers, golden syrup, vanilla, honeycomb sweetness, and freshly roasted coffee beans add complexity. The palate is luscious with succulent fruits, distinctive creaminess, and herbal qualities reminiscent of chamomile tea, while the pot still spices weave among floral grain qualities. Candied orange and dried apricot notes build throughout, finishing with a crescendo of fruits and spices that give way to oak tannins and antique grain whiskey.

Each bottle is individually signed and numbered by the Master Distiller, making it a highly collectible limited-edition release. Bottled at 40% ABV in a 700ml bottle, this whiskey comes in a sustainable cardboard cabinet inspired by the original 1984 packaging, reflecting Midleton's commitment to a greener future while honoring its heritage.
