Legent Yamazaki Cask Finish Blend Kentucky Straight Bourbon is a groundbreaking East-meets-West collaboration between Jim Beam's Kentucky distillery and Suntory's legendary Yamazaki distillery in Japan. The whiskey begins as classic Kentucky Straight Bourbon, aged eight years in new charred American oak barrels, before being shipped to Japan where Yamazaki master blenders apply their Japanese whisky finishing expertise.

At the Yamazaki Distillery, the bourbon is finished in French Oak wine casks and Spanish Oak sherry casks. An additional reserve component undergoes finishing in former Yamazaki Spanish Oak casks, introducing full-bodied, malty depth and complex layers not found in traditional American bourbon. The finished components are then blended together to produce this distinctive spirit.

The whiskey presents a deep amber color with a harmonious nose of caramel, dried fruit, and gentle spice with a delicate floral accent inherited from the Japanese cask work. The palate delivers rounded bourbon character with subtle complexity from the unique finishing process, while the long, satisfying finish balances the boldness of Kentucky tradition with the elegance of Japanese craftsmanship.
