Handcrafted at Point Reyes' Petaluma creamery from pasteurized cows' milk, each 10-ounce wheel is wrapped in spruce bark infused with the essence of California Bay Laurel, which is indigenous to the Point Reyes region. The cheese features a silky-smooth interior texture with a fluffy yet slightly firm rind, topped with a Bay Laurel leaf embedded on top.

The flavor profile varies with age. Younger wheels have a custardy texture with buttermilk freshness and vanilla cream finish, while more mature wheels become spoonable with richer flavors of fresh creamery butter expanding to woodsy-mustard and wild mushroom notes with California Bay Laurel herbaceousness.
