Allegra-D 12 Hour provides fast-acting, non-drowsy relief from both allergy symptoms and nasal congestion in a single extended-release tablet. This dual-action formula combines fexofenadine hydrochloride (60 mg), a clinically proven antihistamine, with pseudoephedrine hydrochloride (120 mg), a powerful nasal decongestant. Each tablet relieves eight allergy symptoms including sneezing, runny nose, itchy or watery eyes, itchy nose or throat, nasal congestion, sinus congestion and pressure, and swollen nasal passages.
The medication starts working in one hour and provides up to 12 hours of relief. Unlike some antihistamines that cross the blood-brain barrier and cause drowsiness, Allegra-D's fexofenadine component remains outside the central nervous system, delivering effective symptom relief while keeping you alert and focused throughout your day. The pseudoephedrine component works by narrowing blood vessels in the nasal passages, reducing swelling and clearing congestion.
This product is the number one allergist-recommended non-drowsy brand among over-the-counter oral antihistamines. Adults and children 12 years and older should take one tablet every 12 hours on an empty stomach with water, not to exceed two tablets in 24 hours. Do not take with fruit juices as they can reduce effectiveness. Due to federal regulations regarding pseudoephedrine, this product must be purchased behind the pharmacy counter at Costco warehouses and is not available for online purchase.
