Night Train to Marrakech by Dinah Jefferies

Night Train to Marrakech is the third and final installment in Dinah Jefferies' Daughters of War trilogy, published in trade paperback by HarperCollins. Set in 1960s Morocco, this sweeping historical novel follows Vicky Baudin, a young French woman who boards the night train to Marrakech in search of Clemence Petier, the grandmother who gave her father up for adoption decades earlier. Clemence lives in a kasbah on the edge of the Atlas Mountains, where she guards her secrets carefully.

When a face from Clemence's past arrives to threaten everything she has built, and Vicky and her cousin witness a brutal murder amid the city's political unrest, the two women are forced to band together to survive. Rich with the sights, sounds, and atmosphere of 1960s Marrakech and the Atlas Mountains, the novel weaves together family secrets, danger, and the possibility of redemption across generations.

Dinah Jefferies is the No. 1 Sunday Times bestselling author known for lush, atmospheric historical fiction set in exotic locales.
