Prosper Maufoux Mâcon Villages Chardonnay France 750ml

Prosper Maufoux Mâcon Villages is a 100% Chardonnay white wine from the Mâconnais sub-region of southern Burgundy, France. The terroirs of South Burgundy, with their south/southwest orientation, have been vineyards since Gallo-Roman times, and the limestone subsoils are ideal for expressing the fresh, approachable character of Chardonnay.

This wine displays a pale gold color with a discreet nose of citrus fruits and white fruits such as peach. On the palate, it is fresh and well-balanced. After harvest, grapes are pressed in a pneumatic press and the juice is statically settled before alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged 10 months on the lees in stainless steel, preserving its bright, clean fruit character. It is best served at 10–12°C and has a cellaring potential of 3 to 7 years.
