Jean-Claude Boisset Chambolle-Musigny is a village-level Burgundy Pinot Noir from one of France's most celebrated appellations in the Côte de Nuits. The Chambolle-Musigny appellation is renowned for producing wines of exceptional elegance and refinement, with terroir characterized by a thin layer of Bathonian limestone pebbles over hard limestone bedrock, providing superb drainage and yielding wines of a distinctly sensual, charming character.
The wine is aged for 15 months in oak casks without racking and with a low proportion of new wood (under 20%), preserving the grape's natural finesse. On the nose, it opens with dark berries including blackcurrant and blueberry. The palate is very rich and structured, supported by highly refined tannins that are hallmarks of great Chambolle-Musigny. This bottling earned a Gold Medal at Mundus Vini (February 2018).
Pairs well with duck confit, beef bourguignon, mushroom dishes, roasted lamb, and aged cheeses. Serve at 60–65°F in a Burgundy-style glass to best appreciate the aromatic complexity.
