Shenandoah Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc is a California white wine from the Amador County appellation in the Sierra Foothills, produced by Sobon Wine Company at their historic Shenandoah Vineyards estate in Plymouth, CA. Leon and Shirley Sobon founded Shenandoah Vineyards in 1977, making it one of the first wineries in Amador County's Shenandoah Valley appellation.
This Sauvignon Blanc presents an emerald straw color with aromas and flavors of dried pear, grilled pepper, grapefruit, and a hint of schmaltz cookie. On the palate it is dry-yet-fruity with a supple, crisp medium body, offering notes of lemon-spritzed green caramel apple and coconut water through an appealing medium-length finish. The 2024 vintage earned 89 points and a Silver Medal with a "Best Buy" designation from Tastings.com. At 13% alcohol, it is a round and welcoming sipper well suited to enjoy on its own or paired with chicken fajitas, pad thai, or lentil dishes. This bottle contains 750ml.
