New Riff Sour Mash Single Malt Whiskey is a Kentucky-distilled single malt that applies the traditional bourbon sour mash process to 100% malted barley, bridging Old World whiskey craftsmanship with American distilling technique. Produced at New Riff Distilling in Newport, Kentucky, this annual release is bottled at cask strength (115.2 proof) without chill filtration.

The 2025 release combines three mashbills — Maris Otter (41%), Barleywine-style malt (41%), and Scottish peated malted barley (18%) — matured for at least seven years and finished across six distinct cask types: new charred oak, de-charred and toasted bourbon barrels, de-charred and re-charred bourbon barrels, Madeira casks, Oloroso Sherry casks, and red wine French oak casks. The result is a deeply layered whiskey with aromas of oak, sherry, and toasted grain, a palate of chewy fruit, citrus, cocoa, and nutty malt with subtle smoke, and a finish that is zesty and rich with lingering peat and leather. Sold in a case of six 750ml bottles, with a limit of one per member.
