Heitz Cellar Lot C-91 is a prestigious Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon that pays homage to a legendary cuvée originally crafted by winery founder Joe Heitz in 1969. After Gaylon Lawrence Jr. acquired the winery in 2018, his team discovered four original bottles from that historic experiment and set out to recreate it — resulting in what Master Sommelier and CEO Carlton McCoy calls the "uber Napa cuvée" and the finest multi-site expression of Heitz for the vintage. This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from premier Napa Valley sub-appellations including Oakville, Rutherford, St. Helena, and Howell Mountain. It is aged for nine months in large neutral casks alongside a combination of new and used French oak, developing remarkable density and complexity while maintaining elegant balance. Alcohol 14.0%.

The wine offers a rich profile of pure dark fruit, earthen spices, dried purple florals, cedarwood, tobacco, and dark chocolate, all framed by a firm acid backbone and fine-grained tannins. Distinctive savory elements of sage, rosemary, cured meats, and black pepper set this cuvée apart, while the finish displays incredible complexity and harmony.
