Booker Oublié is a prestigious red blend from Booker Vineyard in Paso Robles, California's Central Coast. The name "Oublié" is a French term meaning "forgotten," a nod to the wine's Rhône-style inspiration. This wine is a GSM blend — Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre — crafted in the tradition of a California Châteauneuf-du-Pape, with recent vintages composed of approximately 41% Grenache, 31% Syrah, 27% Mourvèdre, and 1% Tannat. It is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels.
Booker Oublié consistently earns exceptional critical acclaim, with scores ranging from 95 to 97 from leading critics including Wine Advocate and Jeb Dunnuck. Tasting notes describe layered aromas of mixed berry preserves, black and blue fruits, peppery herbs, floral overtones, potpourri, and fragrant earth. On the palate, the wine delivers silky yet powerful tannins with Mediterranean herbs, chaparral, sappy cherries, tamarind, and blood orange, culminating in a long, elegant finish. It is among the most acclaimed and highest-priced wines produced in Paso Robles.
