Booker Fracture is a premium Syrah from Paso Robles, California, crafted from the best barrels of Syrah grapes grown in limestone-rich soil. The name "Fracture" pays tribute to the high content of limestone in the vineyard soil, which causes it to fracture rather than crumble. This full-bodied wine is aged 18 months in French oak barriques (60% new oak, 40% neutral oak).
Inky purple in color and opaque, the wine presents a complex nose with aromas of black raspberries, roasted earth, black pepper, roasted meats, bramble berries, bark and spices. On the palate, it delivers seamless tannins, bright acidity, and a plush texture with notes of black raspberries, black pepper, graphite, coffee bean, roast meat, tobacco, spice and char. The wine has received exceptional critical acclaim, with scores of 97-98 points from Jeb Dunnuck and an average of 98 points from Robert Parker over the last ten vintages.
This age-worthy wine drinks well now but will develop complexity over ten to fifteen years. Pairs beautifully with BBQ brisket, big roasted meats, or can be enjoyed on its own. Case pack of 6 bottles, each 750ML.
