High West The Prisoner's Share is a limited-release blended American whiskey crafted through a collaboration between High West Distillery and The Prisoner Wine Company, both part of the Constellation Brands family. This expression combines multiple straight bourbon and rye whiskeys sourced from distilleries across Utah, Kentucky, and Indiana, all finished in French Oak barrels that previously held The Prisoner Red Blend wine.

The blend draws on a diverse set of mash bills — including MGP bourbon (75% corn, 21% rye, 4% malted barley), a high-rye BBC bourbon (60% corn, 40% rye), a Kentucky bourbon (78% corn, 10% rye, 12% malted barley), MGP rye (95% rye, 5% malted barley), and High West's own-make rye (80% rye, 20% malted rye) — aged between 4 and 12 years and bottled at 51% ABV (102 proof) without chill filtration.

On the nose, expect pomegranate kernels, cranberry biscotti, pecan brittle, orange zest, cinnamon bark, light roast espresso, and tanned leather from a cedar closet. The palate delivers Montmorency cherries, raspberry preserves on brioche toast, cacao nibs, brown butter caramel, roasted chestnuts, bergamot tea, and seasoned French Oak. The finish lingers with black currant jam and a subtle rye spice. Best enjoyed neat or with a small splash of water.
