The Abyss is a barrel-aged Imperial Stout from Deschutes Brewery in Bend, Oregon, crafted since 2005 and celebrated as one of the Pacific Northwest's most iconic dark beers. This Costco pack contains four 12 oz bottles of the brewery's flagship reserve stout, delivering immeasurable depth and complexity with every pour.

Brewed with roasted barley, dark chocolate malt, black barley, premium 2-row malt, and wheat, and hopped with Nugget, Cascade, and Delta varieties, The Abyss is further distinguished by additions of blackstrap molasses and licorice, then dry-spiced with cherry bark and vanilla bean. The beer is aged in a blend of bourbon whiskey, red wine, and new American oak barrels, producing a rich, full-bodied character. Tasting notes include dark roast coffee, bakers chocolate, molasses, cherry bark, vanilla, and a warming hint of oak and whiskey. ABV is approximately 11.5–12.3% with 70 IBU.
