Roberto Voerzio's "Cerequio" Barolo is a benchmark expression of Nebbiolo from one of the most prized single vineyards in La Morra, Piedmont, Italy. Cerequio is a grand cru-level vineyard renowned for its warm south-facing exposure and distinctive mineral profile — rich in magnesium — which gives the wine its signature aromatic character of cassis, eucalyptus, and mint alongside the classic Barolo notes of tar and roses.
Produced by Roberto Voerzio, one of Barolo's most celebrated and meticulous producers, this wine undergoes low-yield viticulture (approximately 500 grams per plant) to concentrate flavors. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, followed by extended aging in oak barrels and casks, then further refinement in steel and bottle before release. The result is a wine of extraordinary depth, elegance, and longevity.
On the nose, expect rose petals, lavender, tar, ripe cherries, nutmeg, and light hazelnut. The palate is full-bodied, tightly structured, and compact, with firm tannins and a focused, extended finish. Critically acclaimed, recent vintages have earned scores of 98–99 out of 100 from leading critics. This wine benefits from additional aging and is best enjoyed from 2025 onward.
Sold in a case of 6 x 750ML bottles. DOCG certified, Barolo, Italy.
