This seasonal release captures the universal joy of ringing in the new year, drawing on the age-old Scottish custom of "first footing," where a dark-haired visitor crossing the threshold at midnight brings gifts of shortbread, whisky, and coal to bestow comfort and good fortune for the year ahead.

Crafted from a selection of American and European oak sherry seasoned casks alongside American ex-bourbon barrels, the whisky delivers a rich, sweet shortbread-like character punctuated by festive notes of dried orange and spice. The nose opens with vanilla, butter, baked apple, baking biscuits, plum, and almond. On the palate, expect a soft, velvety sweetness reminiscent of Scottish shortbread with lightly toasted marshmallow, dried oranges, fig, and cinnamon. The medium finish lingers with sweet butterscotch and freshly baked biscuits. The whisky pours a warm ember color.

This release is a collaboration with Erica Dorn, an acclaimed Japanese-French visual artist known for her iconic cinematic illustrations and work with director Wes Anderson.
